Utility –

The Department builds up a Rational and counter disciple of Sushruta’s principals to serve a mankind. The Department performed various Ano-rectal surgeries for various recurrent medical and surgical conditions like Fistula-in-Ano, Piles, Fissure-in-Ano, Pilonidal sinus, partial prolapsed rectum with a day care stay. The students are trained for the minor surgical procedures like Hydrocele, cyst, lipoma, fibroadenoma, corn, wart, Benign growth, simple fracture management etc. and Kshara Sutra treatment for ano-rectal diseases. The departments also do the Agni karma, Kshara karma, Ksharsutra preparation as well as jaloukavacharan.

• Department is equipped with departmental library and charts.
• Department is having separate OPD, IPD for the patient as well as well equipped Operation Theater with all updated facilities. Also having OPD attached Minor Operation Theater for performing various minor surgical procedures under the supervision of visiting well qualified faculty (I&D, Suturing, Extraction of Foreign body, Kshara Sutra ligation, Kshar karma, Agnikarma, Jaloukavacharan, Sirabhedan, Management of fracture, Wound management, Dressing, excision, circumcission, Eversion of Sac or Jaboulay’s operation etc.)

Vision

• To pursue higher studies P.G for research and Academic Purpose.
• To provide Ksharasutra, Agnikarma and Leech Therapy training for the domestic so can develop the institute as one of the model in the Chhattisgarh State.
• To start the separate wound management clinic in the hospital.
• To start full equipped modern surgical unit.
• To give hand to hand surgical training for trainees.
