The establishment of this department aim to provide teaching and health care facilities in the branch of Shalakya tantra which includes Ophthalmology,Otorihnolaryngology and Dentistry.
The department of Shalakya tantra provides the teaching and clinical facility to under graduate students of B.A.M.S. final professional and training to the internee in the concerned field. Apart from this the department has proposal to carry out research activities in the fundamental aspects of Ayurveda sidhant in the treatment of Netra, Karna, Nasa, Mukh, Gala and Shiroroga.
The department has a total space of 75 square meters, fulfilling the norms (Attached museum, Computer etc.) of the M.S.R of C.CI.M. New Delhi. All the instruments and equipment, charts as per the M.S.R. are available in the department.
O.P.D facilities (Eye, E.N.T & Dental) are available in the hospital every day and I.P.D facility also available with 7bed. Special cases like allergic disease, Diabetic retinopathy, migraine, computer vision syndrome, are treated according to classical approach. Extraction of foreign body, Agnikarma, Kshara karma, Jalaukavacharana, Shiravedh along with Tarpan, Shirodhara, Karnapooran,Nasyaare performed in various diseases.
- Typical cases of Rhinospordiosis, Allergy, Headache, Foreign body in eye and e.n.t referred from locality / periphery has been successfully treated.
